    1. Use of the UMW Network must be consistent with the Montana Board of Regents of Higher Education Information Technology Policies (http://mus.edu/borpol/bor1300/bor1300.asp).

Release of information through the UMW Network is bound by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (the “Buckley Amendment”), Montana Code Annotated 20-25-515 (https://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0200/chapter_0250/part_0050/section_0150/0200-0250-0050-0150.html) and 20-25-516 (https://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0200/chapter_0250/part_0050/section_0160/0200-0250-0050-0160.html), and the Personnel 策略 and 程序 Department of 政府, Section 3-0110 , Employee Record Keeping (http://mom.mt.gov).
    4. Use of the UMW Network must be consistent with the Montana Standards of Conduct for State Employees Handbook (http://hr.mt.gov) and appropriate standards of student conduct.
    5. 禁止非法或未经授权使用UMW网络系统、软件、数据或电子邮件。 Violation of the privacy of others such as accessing other user’s systems, software, data, or electronic mail without that user’s permission is prohibited.
    6. 禁止对UMW网络的运行产生不利影响或危及其他用户的使用或性能的任何使用。 禁止使用UMW网络进行个人活动，例如玩电子游戏，以限制访问大学官方业务资源的方式。
    7. 禁止将UMW网络用于可能被解释为骚扰或恐吓的目的。

    9. Alleged violations of this policy should be reported to UMW’s Information Technology 服务 (ITS). Suspected incidents will be investigated by ITS in cooperation with the alleged violator’s supervisor and other UMW authorities as required by the nature of the offense. The appropriate UMW, State, and Board of Regent’s grievance procedures and disciplinary actions apply in these cases.
